According to a recent study from the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), programmatic ad revenue in the U.S. reached $10.1 billion in 2014, accounting for 20 percent of total online ad revenue. That figure is expected to top nearly $15 billion this year, according to BI Intelligence. However, a lesser known data point from a Google-commissioned report by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) reveals more than half of marketers still rate their programmatic knowledge as very poor, poor, or average.
